The marketing mix

The marketing mix is the set of decisions a business makes to sell a product: the four Ps: product, price, place and promotion. Get the mix right and customers find the right product, at the right price, in the right place, and hear about it. Paper 1 asks what the four Ps are almost every year.

By the end of this page you can

  • Name and describe the four Ps of the marketing mix
  • Explain what a brand does for a product
  • Match a pricing strategy to a situation
  • Plan a marketing mix for a new product

Goals tick themselves off as you try the activities below.
