ICT in education, medicine, business, law and leisure

ICT (information and communications technology) has changed how we learn, get health care, do business, fight crime and relax. Most changes bring gains and costs. Paper 1 asks one term most years: working from home while connected to the office is telecommuting, also called teleworking.

By the end of this page you can

  • Describe how ICT has changed education and medicine
  • Describe its effect on business, law enforcement and recreation
  • Tell telecommuting, teleconferencing and telemedicine apart
  • Assess an impact, good and bad

Goals tick themselves off as you try the activities below.
